Makana on the Beach - is 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and up to 14 guests. Makana is one of the most glamorous private villas on the precious strip of land that borders Discovery Bay. The site itself is remarkable: a spacious villa with a private tennis court and swimming pool on a sugary white sand beach bordering translucent swimming and kayaking water. Amanoka on the Beach – is 7-bedrooms and up to 14-guests. Located on beautiful Discovery Bay, Amanoka is one of the most stunning villas in this collection. From the spacious verandah and pool, a barefoot stroll leads down a soft lawn to the 70’ white sand beach, clear turquoise water, and waterfront gazebo with suspended canvas swings. (5 Night minimum) 2 bedrooms have 2 beds.

 Quotes and availability subject to change until villa is confirmed with payment. No space is being held (unless otherwise stated). Quotes are always in USD. Many villas in Europe and Asia will be quoted at the current rate of conversion and are subject to shifts in currency exchange rates if the villa is not paid in full at time of booking.

Travel Protection Insurance¹ We strongly suggest the purchase of travel insurance, which includes non-refundable cancellation, injury, sickness, evacuation, inclement weather, trip delays, loss/theft of luggage, and much more. Cancellation:

• Most villas: 91 days or more there is a 35% penalty for the overall cost of the trip; 90 days or less is 100% penalty.
• Many villas are 100% non-refundable at the time of deposit. Please ask your villa specialist for more details on your specific villa. 
• Holiday rentals are 100% non-refundable at time of reservation.

 

Payment Terms:

• Reservation Deposit: 50% deposit at the time of booking, unless within 90 days of travel.
• Full Balance: Final payments are due 90 days prior to travel, unless otherwise stated.
• Wire transfer required for guests traveling within 30 days. 
• In lieu of a Security Deposit we collect a $299 Accidental Damage Waiver on most reservations.

 

Deposits, additional fees, and charges: Some properties may request a credit card or refundable deposit upon arrival. For questions about this, or any other additional fees or charges, please review our” Rate Policies” section of their Villas of Distinction listing.

 

Arrival and Departure times: in most villas check-in time is 4pm and check-out time 10am. Anything different would be otherwise noted in the villa listing.

 

Guests, Vendors & Service providers: We need the names and dates of birth of all occupants of the Villa no later than 90 days before travel. The occupant list cannot exceed the occupancy of the villa, and only the named individuals on the rental agreement will have villa access.   Outside guests are not permitted to use the villa unless the villa owner has granted permission in advance of the trip. Outside vendors are not allowed on the property without prior written approval by the villa owner.

 

Pets and Service Animals: Very few villas will allow pets and will have it listed. In the US, service animals are the exception, they must have documentation reflecting their duties and must always stay with their charge. Outside of the US the laws vary, and guests should not assume every country and/or villa owner will accept them. Whether a pet or service animal, they must be disclosed before booking to avoid the animal being declined after booking.

 

In Staffed villas:

Gratuities: This villa is fully staffed, and as such a part of the budget needs to include the gratuities for the staff. The recommended amounts are 10% of the rent before taxes and fees and should be budgeted accordingly. Some may request it be in cash, US$ or local currency are accepted.

 

Groceries: To stock the villa groceries are expected to be about $65-85 per day/per person (about half for children). That is for all three meals and snacks, as well as light alcohol for adults. Food pricing is an estimate and varies depending on market pricing and selections. Locally sourced options should remain on the lower end of the budget. Whereas imports like Maine lobster, Kobe beef, or top shelf alcohol, will dramatically increase the budget.  Should your plans include excursions that have you away from the villa for meals, they would be skipped. The staff will coordinate meals with your itinerary.

 

Ground transportation: In Jamaica we strongly recommend use of a vehicle and driver rather than vehicle rentals. (I have a few options as we get closer to booking but expect to pay around $75-$100 per couple for roundtrip transportation).

 

After final payment, your personal concierge will contact you 6-8 weeks prior to departure. We help you plan every element of your villa vacation, such as rental cars, spa treatments, chef services, grocery provisions, transfers and more, and all of it completely personalized to you so the trip will be magical and memorable.
